I'm back....

So i've had a very hectic 2 weeks since last posting, i've been annual leave for 1 week, went back to work on Wednesday and TGIF looking forward to the weekend, nothing planned just needing to rest and get back to normality.
So you will be hearing from me loads as i have quite a bit to update you on, especially new products, so watch this space for some exciting posts.
I've painted my hallway which was looking a bit boring and outdated, and i have tried those nail stickers....because i go swimming regularly i'm waiting to see how they work with being in the water and if they stay on or just slide off.

Victoria Beckham...love her style

I have many favourite celebrity's but one of my favourite has to be Victoria Beckham, absolutely love her style, she's gone from being in one of the biggest girl groups to a respected designer in her own right.
I must admit her style is very versatile and a little edgy she does think out of the box, but the main thing is her clothes are wearable and not ridiculous looking, that are wow on the catwalk, but you know you would get eggs thrown at you if you wore them in the street.
She is truly fabulous and fast becoming an icon, that we will be remembered for being  a fantastic woman of her times.
I can relate to her being a mum and a working one at that, and does she work hard. The plus side is can't be bad being married to one the most gorgeous man in the universe.
I have followed her from her Spice Girl days to becoming a mum and then Mrs Beckham, she has gone through phases where one thinks why would she do that, but i suppose everyone should experiment with different looks and styles to then realise what suits you best and follow it through.

My Outfit Today White Stuff

I wanted to feel comfortable without looking I've got up from my sofa and gone into work, so my outfit today is a casual dress from Whitestuff.co.uk and navy blue leggings from Next.co.uk.
I can't exaggerate at how much i love White stuff, all their stuff is very classy yet a little bit different from your typical dresses and tunic's.
I would say to me White stuff style is a cross between Fat face and a little Gap, but in a league of their own, i have indulged in more than a few items a few weeks ago so will be posting the outfits for you to see, and then want to go out and buy yourself.

OPI Envy Nail Strengthener

My nails are in really poor condition and keep chipping and are brittle, i went through a phase where i was painting my nails different colours and designs three times a week. I never wear nail polish without a base coat, so not sure why my nails are chipping, i have read many reviews online about what i can use to cure my nails and get them back to being healthy, and so that i can start my colours again.
So i have invested in the OPI Envy Nail Strengthener, i have just applied my 2 coats and will see how it works over the coming days.....watch this space i will be back with an update..

Eyebrows...

So recently i have been experimenting with shaping my eyebrows, I've always had them threaded professionally but due to work and a busy-bee lyfe, i always end up looking like my partner because they got so untidy. So i have started to pluck and shape them myself, which is fine but i always find them to be a little bit messy than when i have them threaded.
So i invested in a Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in brown and a eyebrow kit from EBay which didn't break the bank. Because i wasn't sure if i could shape them up with a pencil or a kit and i didn't want to spend too much to begin with, the Rimmel eyebrow pencil was only £3.99 and the kit £2.99 including postage and packing.
Now i started with the pencil which has a lovely not too soft or hard texture, and can honestly say have perfected on how to use it, plus the best bit it has a brow brush on the end to tidy and comb the hair's down.
Now for the verdict on my cheap kit, couldn't have been pleased with anything other than one i purchased, it has 2 colours blonde, dark brown and a wax to tame the unruly hairs, and the brush is shaped ideally to shape the brows.
The colour couldn't have matched any more perfect than it has, and even though it's not a designer name of the packaging it's brilliant, and can honestly say i have perfect home shaped eyebrows.

Its even better when you keep getting compliments.

Scarfs....my obsession.

So who doesn't like scarfs i love scarfs, my obsession started about 5 years ago and now I've lost count of how many i actually have.
Snoods are the latest style from the scarf world, you can even call them the Scarf Couture, love patterned ones tasselled ones, animal prints i wear a scarf everywhere they are actually my comfort zone around my neck, sometimes i even where one whilst I'm watching TV in bed, to keep my neck warm and give me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
And did you know there actually so many ways of wearing a scarf, for every type of occasion.

Chopstick Eye Liners.

OMG.... so i purchased these new eye pencils from Avon called Chopsticks, if you have tried to line your eyes and can never get it quite right, trust me when i say this you can apply perfect lines with your eyes closed with these new pencils.
Theses are amazing and come in various in season colours, I've purchased them in black and brown, and the best bit the price they are so affordable at only £3 per pencil.
Don't take my word for it try them for you self, you will not be disappointed.

Diet Pills that Work...Forever Lean.

I have a busy weekend ahead with family, which will also include consuming lots of different and delicious meals, which will be cooked by my mum who to me is the best cook in the world.
But I'm not worried as i will have my magic pills the Lean tablets from Forever Living, the are absolutely magic and do more than what they say on the bottle.

Forever Lean® provides two revolutionary ingredients that can help reduce the body’s absorption of calories from fat and carbohydrates. The first of these ingredients is a unique, fat-absorbing fiber derived from the cactus plant, Opuntia ficus-indica, otherwise known as Indian fig, nopal or prickly pear. Studies have shown that this unique fiber has a very high ability to bind fats, compared to other types of plants.

The other unique ingredient in Forever Lean® is a protein specially derived from the beans of the Phaseolus vulgaris plant, otherwise know as white kidney beans. This protein works by slowing the body’s absorption of sugar in the small intestine by temporarily inhibiting the enzyme activity that converts starches into sugar.

Together these two revolutionary ingredients can help you succeed in your quest to reach your ideal weight by helping to block the absorption of some of the fat and carb calories you ingest.

The third most effective ingredient in Forever Lean® is Chromium Trichloride. Chromium is a very important trace mineral which helps the body’s natural ability to regulate blood sugar by acting as a GTF (glucose tolerance factor) cofactor. This is especially important for normal metabolism.

To maximize the effectiveness of this supplement, however, it is important to remember that you should also incorporate a healthy diet and regular exercise into your overall weight control regimen in order to achieve and maintain your weight goal.
  • Helps block the absorption of calories from fat and carbohydrates
  • Chromium helps the body regulate blood sugar for a normal metabolism
  • Temporarily inhibits the body’s absorbtion of calories from sugar

The weekend is nearly here...

To be honest with you I'm not even sure why I'm getting excited for the weekend, the plus side is I'll be with family all weekend consuming so many different dishes and feeling fat at the end of it all.

We have a busy bee 3 days ahead of us, the religious blessing is nearly, I've got a day off today so first things first I'm going swimming and then will decide from there what i will be doing next.
My main aims are doing a bit housework to keep on top of it, and getting my outfits ready for the next 3 days from tomorrow.
I will be wearing Salwaar Kameez which is a typical Punjabi outfit, a tunic and you can say they kind of look like MC Hammer pants but not quite flared as much.
A lot of our family will be coming over the next 3 days, brilliant way to catch up with people you haven't seen in a while. But the negative side is when family is together for that many days, little fallout's and arguments can happen, and most of our family have fiery tempers. My motto in life is just get on with it, do your bit don't get involved too much and enjoy.
But i will not shy away from saying something that needs to be said.

Lace Footsies..

My love of the month is lace footsies, they are absolutely gorgeous and very elegant on the feet, and believe it or not they actually keep your feet warm at the same time.
I purchased one pair and fell in love with them, went back to the shop 1 month later and managed to get them in different colours, pink, skin colour and black.
Someone asked me if i was wearing socks the other day, and when i showed them my footsie they said "your posh" so there you have it, they make you look posh.

Tired.com..

It's 10.30pm I've just got in, my sister has arrived safely from the USA so popped in to see her and the bambino's before i came home, hence why I'm tired.com.
My mouth is on fire on Sunday i over heated a curry, which has literally burnt the inside of my mouth so anything I'm eating is painful, maybe its good thing might prevent me from eating foods i shouldn't be consuming, e.g chocolate and crisps. Yeah right like that will stop me.

So would like share that me thinking i was being healthy by eating salad, and a bread roll for my main evening meal would be good. Only to discover the salads that i have been eating are far from healthy, i bought 5 different deli salads from my local supermarket, sweet chili noodle, potato salad, tomato pasta, sweetcorn pasta, roasted vegetable cous cous and finally a bean salad, so I've been making a tub with a portion of each of the salads.
To my horror I've actually been consuming more in calories than if i just stuck to a vegetarian cottage pie or something.
So out go my version of salads and back to the drawing board, one thing i would like to stress is i cant eat leafy salads, to me its like rabbit food, i can't do it....

Please free to give me any ideas, it would be much appreciated.
p.s I'm a vegetarian and i don't eat egg or fish either, but i do have dairy products just to confuse you even more.

Monday out of the Way...thank god

Thank god Monday is done and dusted with, i think my favourite day of the week has to be Wednesday your half way through the week by then, and the weekend is nearer.
So we have a religious ceremony at my mums this weekend, so looking forward to it as all the family gets together and we have lots of food, it's starts on Friday and ends on Sunday, i will try and blog with all the delicious food that we will be consuming, the only thing is due to my mum booking the date without consulting if i could get time off, i will be working Friday and Saturday....
Also my sister has come from US for her holiday, so will be amazing to see her kids and have a long awaited catch up time.
Our holy Guru Granth Sahib (holy book) will be in the house from Friday and Sunday and verses will be read, by religious priests over the 3 days.

It's Monday..eerhghhh and family drama.

I hate Mondays its so far from Friday...but have you noticed how near Monday is to Friday...anyway back to work after a very interesting roller coaster kind of weekend.
Started off ok to good and then ended up being ugly yesterday.
I don't' understand why its ok to act normal with certain people, who are supposed to be family but are really like enemies I'm the sort of person that can't forgive and forget easily, its not my fault the way I am I just don't like getting burnt twice, but unfortunately my other half doesn't think like that he's one of those that likes to just act for face value say's bygones be bygones, I can't be like that...sorry....so we had a lovely day yesterday and then we ended up falling out over his stupid family...I'm still a bit lost and confused to where it started and where it ended up.
God help me I've put up with this drama long enough, and refuse to take it any more....
Anyways got to go work....see you later.

So much for healthy eating...

So yesterday after my day of shopping for bargains and being ecstatic with my purchases, I went to a neighbours house as they were having a blessing at their home.
Being a bit lazy and thinking kill 2 birds with 1 stone i thought i would visit around 1pm when i know there would be food to have, i went over with my sister who was also invited as we live on the same street.
Anyway we went over sat and listened to the prayers for a bit, when it came to leaving of course i went over with intention i would have Langaar (food offered at all Gurudwaras during blessings and religious occasions) omg it was my favourite saag (spinach curry) and yellow chapatti's made from corn flour) and although i normally don't like saag other than my mum's it was delicious.
You could say its healthy as its spinach i still felt fat, because normally on a daily working day i only have a Forever Living milk shake and then a main meal in the evening.

TGIF...

Thank God its Friday...so it's been a busy week, especially after the last weekend which was full on, we took kids out strawberry picking and also went to Wicksteed Park.
It was a fabulous weekend spent with the family, but going back to a full week at work was tiring, i can't believe it literally took me 4 days to get over my tiredness.com, but hey it's Friday today and its a proper Friday as I'm not working this weekend so really looking forward to relaxing and making the most of being at home catching up on bits and bobs...and of course spending quality time with my family and the better half....i will keep you posted as I'm going shopping tomorrow and hoping to come back with some bargain buys.....watch this space.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash

So at Christmas i treated myself to a Soap & Glory gift set, which included all the essentials you would need to keep your skin clean and buffed up. I have to say one of my favourites has to be the sugar crush body wash it smells absolutely divine, and the smell lingers on way after using it.
Soap & Glory's super fresh Sugar Crush body wash (which doubles as bath bubbles) mixes mouth water-watering limes, lemons, sweet vanilla musk and coconut oil.
Energizing, revitalising it's an wake up call for tired minds and bodies, with cool capsule x to cool and refresh, radiance-boosting kiwi water juice, and a super creamy m-suds moisture boosting base.
I wouldn't say the products are cheap, but they are well worth the price, so if you are bored of the products you are currently using and need something new try the Soap & Glory range, you will not be disappointed, plus you'll find Boots always have a 3 for 2 on the range. ;-)
